Hi. I'm about 4 years old. I was born only two months apart from Justin in March of 1977 but half-globe apart geographically - in Minsk, Belarus and grew up there with my younger sister Inna.

Well as you can see, on the other part of the globe color photography came right in time to save the memory of my handsome red curls. I was born in May of 1977 and have lived here on Long Island joined by my younger sister Jenna.

My parents saw me as a future figure skating champion, so here I am working on my choreography. Needless to say, I did not make it to the Olympics, but it did help to fit into the sports and exercise-obsessed Silverman family.

Well, I didn't have to make the Olympics. Here I am having my own Olympics, and I have only one tough opponent (Jenna) to beat to get a gold medal.

I am here holding Inna just before major changes in our lives. In April 1989 we immigrated to the US(Stamford); the first ones in our extended family.

At about the same time, I am pictured here in my official bar-mitzvah outfit. Too bad they didn't make a "Harry Potter" movie then. I would definitely have gotten the role of Harry's red-head friend. Around that time I was globetrotting schools from London to Montreux(Switzerland).

I am smiling here on my graduation day from Stamford High School, where I got to defend colors of "Black Knights" on tennis and volleyball courts and which paved the road to the University of Pennsylvania for me.

I am also smiling here on my graduation day from Manhasset high school, where I was voted the “Most Argumentative” in the yearbook. I played soccer and tennis and spent my free time outside of classes getting into trouble with my friends Mike, Chuck & Greg.

During my junior year at Penn, I studied abroad in Lyon, France, where I was asked by the publishers of a major Japanese travel magazine to model for their upcoming issue dedicated to the Soccer World Cup taking place that summer in France (Not sure if they even ever understood that I was not French)

We met during our sophomore year, when we both worked for Penn’s newspaper "The Daily Pennsylvanian". Dina was a marketing manager. I quickly realized what I needed to do and switched from sales into the marketing department where she was technically my ‘boss’. Needless to say, she could not resist my charm. Next year we went to France to study abroad. Here I am at the Miro museum in Barcelona admiring the figure of another woman.

Here we are together at graduation. Penn was an awesome time - we found great friends, each other, and learned a thing or two (apparently we didn’t learn enough, ‘cause we’re back in school learning the same things all over again). It helped us land good jobs in New York City which is where we were heading post graduation.

Living in New York was really exciting. It was a test of us living together (the fact that we didn’t kill each other in our 460sq.foot apartment is a good sign) and living in the real world (the real world is fun and all, but it’s so much better being in school). We tried almost every restaurant in Zagat’s, almost every bar in Shecky’s, saw lots of Broadway shows, spent countless hours in Central park, (of course there were countless hours sitting in traffic and pushing our way into the crowded rush-hour subway), and decided that we were ready for a change.

After graduating from Penn, we embarked on a 6-week journey cross-country. We drove out west via the North and came back to NY via the South (Vegas was our midpoint). We covered close to forty states, with some of our highlights being Yellowstone Park in Wyoming, Badlands in South Dakota, and Mount Rushmore, pictured here. (We knew if we survived being on the road for 6 weeks not interacting with anyone but each other, we could survive anything together).

Here we are at Kellogg. I’m getting an MBA in 1 year and Justin is getting a JD/MBA (in 3 yrs). We love Chicago and Kellogg and our new life and friends here. We’re praying daily for a mild winter. I’m hoping to land a good marketing job in Chicago and start after we’re married in September (somebody’s got to pay the bills while Justin completes his fancy degree)! Most likely when Justin is finished, we’re going to either go back to the NY area to settle down or decide to move someplace warm like Southern California.
The End!

A bit of background…

Dina:
For me it all started when I walked into my friend Chris’s office to ask for ideas on what to get Justin for his 25th birthday.  Chris, being the brilliant source of ideas that he is, told me that I should take Justin away for the weekend rather than get him yet another useless gadget that will occupy more of the precious time he could be spending with me instead.  The idea seemed intriguing at the time and after a bit of investigation I settled on the Berkshire Mountains as the destination.  A road trip to the Berkshires for the weekend seemed like a perfectly nice and romantic way to celebrate Justin’s birthday and what better self-serving present can a woman think of to give to a man?!

I found an article about a cute little inn in New York magazine and immediately called to make reservations - the inn was newly renovated and offered all sorts of amenities that made me very happy.  This whole weekend was to remain a surprise and I could barely contain myself.  But how, you may ask, can one consider a road trip to the scenic beautiful Berkshires in a little old Corolla?  My thoughts exactly!  So, I rented a convertible.  A brand new black Chrysler Sebring convertible!  This was going to be the perfect birthday weekend!  I would get to drive (the best part), I would decide where we go and what we do and Justin would have to be extra nice to me the whole time – what could be better?!
